Webinar: Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

For employers with six or more employees, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), Massachusetts’ newest employment regulation, takes effect on April 1. 

Employers must provide written notice to employees of their right to be free from discrimination due to pregnancy or a condition related to pregnancy, including "reasonable accommodations" related to pregnancy.

This should be communicated on or before April 1 in a handbook, pamphlet, or other means. The PWFA also creates a new protected class under the Massachusetts anti-discrimination statute.
